If you’re reading this article, let’s be honest: you’ll probably never become the
person who rolls joints for Snoop Dogg. But hey, at the end of the day, rolling the perfect joint is just
a matter of practice. Go for it!
Plus, after reading this post you’ll definitely be able to roll something decent. Take note
1. Good raw material
First things first. As the great chefs say, you can’t get a good
end result without good raw ingredients. And the best raw ingredients are at Terpy
● Papers: There are loads of options. We prefer organic ones, which
preserve the original flavour of the terpenes. But there are also flavoured ones,
coloured ones and even ones with CBD!
● Filter or tip: We like to use glass tips – if you’ve never
tried one, now’s the time! But there are tips for every taste: cardboard, with filters…
● Grinder: If you don’t have one, your fingers will do… but a good grinder makes all the
difference. The ones at Terpy are the best
2. Weeding
Put the weed in the grinder and give it a few turns. If you don’t have one, break the weed up with your
fingers as finely as you can. But don’t overdo it! We don’t want dust.
3. Now, the filter
Make a small cylinder with the filter and shape it. That way, when you inhale, you stop
little bits of weed from getting into your mouth and down your throat.
4. Place the paper
With the sticky side facing up and towards you, place the filter at one end. Now spread
the weed evenly in the centre of the paper, leaving a small margin at the edges.
5. Pressing is the key
Use your fingers to mould the weed and shape it. The trick is to apply even pressure so
that it’s neither too tight (so you can’t smoke it) nor too loose (so it falls apart).
As we say, packing is key.
Lick the sticky edge of the paper and seal the joint. If you have paper left over, no problem! You can
cut it off or roll it up.
6. The finishing touch!
Use something sharp (such as the end of a paper clip) to finish pressing.
